Just popped into Geelong Gallery to view the Discovering Impressionists exhibition.

Well worth the trip to Geelong ( if you are not local). The texture and layering needs to be seen up close. These works are so beautiful and inspiring.

Working on this Funnel neck shape today.
Happy with the result.

It’s cut from pure wool jersey, which I have Prewashed ( there was no shrinkage).

Only enough for around 5 garments. I will hunt around for alternate fabrics, possibly cotton or ponti.

Slow fashion is indeed slow, when you are doing it right!

It is satisfying to bring new designs to life. There is always pressure to work quickly and efficiently, to get things out into the world.

These garments will be coming to June 13 & 14.

On the night shift, chalking up some stretchy pants to cut out and make up ready for on the 13/14 June.

This is the wrong side of the fabric, it is blue/grey and a more subtle print. Great weight for Winter.

Very excited to be a stall holder at the very first

It is Free Entry ( some were confused about this), but you can book a free ticket if you wish to. In case there is a waiting line.

My first sample in this Cotton knit had some drop in length after washing.

I adjusted the pattern to accommodate this.

I decided to prewash, so what you try on, is what you get.

It is a bit of a pain!
(I make my own washing powder, chemical free, so I can use the rinse water on my garden.)
