Closing notice: After nearly 14 years I have decided the time is right to end this chapter of the Central Stores brand and will be closing the online store in coming months.
It has been a total joy to revive my grandfather’s general store in name (his shop operated in Gilgandra from 1951-1969), opening Central Stores as a country style emporium in January 2013, before establishing a showroom/warehouse at an old bank in 2021, where the online store continued with a focus on sustainable, age and body inclusive, Australian fashion and accessories.
It has been a wonderful learning journey for me and I am so thankful to those who have worked with me in the business; the Australian designers that I have enjoyed great relationships with; and, of course for the support of all of you - without your ongoing support, loyalty and friendship there would have been no Central Stores. I feel I know you all so well, even though we have often never met!
The final clearance continues online until sold, with lots of savings on great fashion and accessories.
Working towards closure, I will be sharing some of my favourite images through a series of reels - hopefully a little visual and nostalgic feast for you.
