Stephen really is our bin hero, carefully rearranging our bins and proudly knowing the bin schedule each week! We would be lost without him
🌟 Everyday Hero Spotlight: Stephen! 🌟
Stephen is an Everyday Hero whose dedication to recycling and helping others is making a real difference across the Macedon Ranges community.♻️
At home, Stephen goes above and beyond to reduce waste. He carefully sorts green waste, soft plastics, batteries and more, making full use of all four household bins. He collects bottle tops to recycle at the Woodend Neighbourhood House, where they’re used in creative community projects.
Each week he calls dozens of friends, family members and community members to remind them which bin needs to go out for collection - helping people keep track of their bin schedules.
Stephen helps manage bins at the Woodend Community Health Centre, Woodend Golf Club and Woodend Neighbourhood House, and volunteers weekly at the Gisborne Op Shop where he assists with recycling and waste sorting.
💚 Stephen says he simply enjoys helping people and reducing stress for others. Through his enthusiasm and generosity, he’s helping make the Macedon Ranges a cleaner, more sustainable place for everyone.
