So we're now making it official - We're closing down permanently with our last day of trade being Saturday March 28th.
Unfortunately the costs of doing business are now growing faster than sales due to a combination of the following systemic trends:
- a more relaxed attire/footwear requirement in many dance schools - some allow students to regularly come to class in street clothing and/or dance either barefoot or in socks
- having to compete against growing online and department store offerings
- some schools beginning to supply their own stock eg tights, body stockings, shoes etc
We have also been asked if we are able to downsize, sell from our garage or online and unfortunately the answer is no due to supplier restrictions based on minimum order requirements and needing to sell from a retail store front.
We made the decision to continue through until the end of March to ensure everyone has the opportunity to stock up for the year before we do close as we know it will be significantly more difficult for the local community that has supported us to attain their dance needs moving forward.
We will be placing orders with suppliers up until the end of February so if you are needing something specific, we can still get it for you until the end of the month.
We are now also offering the following discounts storewide:
All swimwear and accessories are 30% off.
Everything else is 15% off.
We will discount further in March once orders close, however be aware that those discounts will only be applicable for whatever stock we have left.
