There is no place like home ❤️ after 11 days in hospital with your baby, this is what you dream of.

Thanks to all the wonderful Drs and caring nurses who made it possible.

DAY 4

He had a great day yesterday! I thought we'd be going home tomorrow. Sadly the infection is back and putting pressure on his eye. They have just taken him in for surgery again. Pray for my little man. May he recover quickly and permanently

DAY 3

Monday morning, 6.30 am, my baby said his eye was swollen. He'd barely finished the words, and I was up putting my leg in my pants and telling hubby I was taking him straight to ER.

Hubby still sleepy mumbled I was being emotional. NOPE . After over a week of temporal pain on his right side that pain meds weren't touching anymore - his right eye swelling shut was a red flag for me.

Luckily, I trusted my Mumma instinct. Surgery booked for 2.30pm same day. It's day 3 of our hospital stay, and surgery went well. He is recovering great.

Day 2

My youngest is doing well. His friend is visiting and keeping his spirits up. The Surgeon came to say we may be here until Friday. I wasn't prepared for that when I left home at 6.30 am yesterday!

They will always be your baby! We have been here since 6.30 am when my son awoke with a swollen eye. Surgery is scheduled for 2.30 - send prayers 💖🙏 . It's not major but still scary.

Also trust your gut! I was getting dressed to take him straight to ER while my hubby was telling me I was being too emotional.
