This pandemic has been a hard time for all of us and has hurt in many different ways - whether emotionally, financially, physically, or mentally.

I have been an essential worker throughout this whole ordeal. In some ways, going to work has been good - having that sense of routine has really helped keep the anxiety at bay in uncertain times. But it’s also meant I haven’t had a break. Physically, mentally - emotionally. I guess essential means just that.

I need to put my mental health first for a while. I hope that by taking a break I’ll be able to get back into a good headspace and continue creating.

I’ve never really understood the idea of practice makes perfect... I mean, if nothing is perfect, why practice? Getting into the groove of practicing means not getting down on yourself when you make a mistake, or giving up you’ve been at it for a while and it still doesn’t look how you want it to. It also means continual improvement, and putting in the work to see a difference. Now that’s an ethos I can really get behind! 🤩

Hello, friends! 🧡 It’s certainly been a hot minute since I jumped on instagram. I hope you’re staying safe and well. Just wanted to give you all an update - and let you know there’s 40% off everything sale happening over at the MADEBYTERANCE Etsy store right now. 👀
I’m gonna be shutting the store down for the month of August while I recalibrate the store (and my brain!) and get back into the swing of things!
It’s been a crazy few months for me. I started a new job back in February just before COVID-19 reached Australia, and wow - life got pretty hectic there for a while! Instead of winding down and isolating like the rest of the nation, I became an essential worker and began the grind of 6 day weeks for most of March to May. It’s been great for helping me keep a sense of normalcy in these crazy times, but boy howdy does it leave no time for sewing!
Things are starting to slow back down now and I actually managed a few hours on my trusty machine this morning. It was absolute bliss!
I can’t wait to show you all what I have planned for the store. It’s all ideas at the moment - all I need now is the time to make it all.

Hi folks.

I’ve just been advised that Australia Post is experiencing significant disruptions and/or cancellations to all items being posted internationally. These delays can take up to 3-6 weeks due to flight cancellations and government restrictions due to COVID-19. Although Australia Post is working with partner airlines to continue their postal operations, it means that there will be significant delays in receiving orders.

With this information, and a heavy heart, I've made the decision to suspend all international orders for the foreseeable future. If you have placed an order with me since the 1st of April, please check your inbox as I have contacted you regarding cancellations/refunds/options for your order.

Fun fact: the first time I made these keychains I made them too short for regular sized hands & wrists 🤦 But my hands are tiny, so they ended up being the perfect size for me! I've got one on my keys and one on my purse, now!
