VECTOR Shade Structures is a multi-award-winning company specialising in the design and installation of high-quality shade structures across Australia.
We’re currently looking for a Shade Sail Installer to join our team, starting in a part-time / casual role with the opportunity to move into a more permanent position after successful ability checks.

What we’re looking for:
• Experience in the shade industry (preferred, but not essential – training provided)
• Comfortable working at heights and using ladders
• Experience with power tools
• Physically fit and capable of hands-on work
• Able to work up to 40–50 hours during peak periods
• Strong team player with a positive attitude
• Willing to travel for work when required

Requirements:
• White Card
• Driver’s licence
• Reliable transport to our Varsity Lakes (Gold Coast) office
• EWP and forklift tickets (preferred)

Role responsibilities include:
• Installing shade sails and structures
• Installing steel columns, fixings, and brackets
• Assisting with excavation and concreting
• Measuring and general labour duties

"The new shade structure at Eddie Kornhauser Park, Elanora has been completed ✅
I was pleased to secure funding for this upgrade after the site was identified as a priority location lacking shade over the play equipment.
A larger shade structure now covers the swings and flying fox, helping keep the equipment cooler and creating a much more comfortable place for families to play. The bright new sail also adds a great pop of colour to the park and really lifts the space. 🎨🌳
What makes this project unique is that the structure was designed specifically for this flood-affected site. The three-post design uses tension cables instead of long underground footings, making it better suited to the softer soils while keeping construction simpler and more cost effective. The large concrete plinths also provide strength while doubling as informal seating for parents and carers.
It is great to see this improvement delivered and ready for the Elanora community to enjoy. 👏"
