Well this time, it truly is . Goodbye 2020 and your bushfires, locusts, pandemic, lockdowns, openings, closures, illnesses, losses, challenges, laughs and tears, you’ve been quite the big personality.
Here’s to raising a glass for just surviving you and, looking into ‘21, hoping we’ve all learnt a thing or 2 from you.

Thanks for the Linenlove Wendy - so great to know that our lovely 100% linen, hand screenprinted teatowels are out in the world, spreading some joy and kitchen-wit.
​Our teatowels and aprons are the perfect gift, if I do say so myself! They're made from quality European flax, renowned for its spectacular durability and functionality. As far as being a superior tea towel goes, flax fibres are two to three times as strong as those of cotton, and linen cloth is capable of both rapidly absorbing and yielding moisture. It can absorb as much as 20% of its dry weight before feeling wet, and then dries out quickly. Linen also possesses rare bacteriological properties and resists bacterial growth. It does not pill, or leave lint all over your lovely glassware. When treated for marks and stains, the flax fibre releases dirt readily (oxygen soakers are the best). I’ve had linen tea towels forever that are still fresh and stain-free - and after years of use are gorgeously soft and supple.
Cotton tea towels: get wringing wet rapidly and then stay wet for ages; get smelly and manky; get thin and wear out; and once they’re stained, they’re stained for good. So, besides being beautiful on your wall, or lounging across your sink, your ink & weave linen tea towel will dry up beautifully for you, for years and years longer than one of those cheap nasty cotton things! Oh fellow Highlanders, thanks for your support at markets - the drop ins, the coffees, the laughs, the appreciation. Such a lovely place to live, work, family, roam, especially because of the community. This is not to say I don't LOVE all of the markets I do, and the utterly wonderful customers and friends across the big smoke and beyond, but this is just a quick shout out to the green southern (high) lands. To my neighbours, friends, cafes, bars, sportsgrounds, freeways and B-Roads, local shops and little stores we frequent and frequently laugh in, thanks for getting me through this year.

​No judgement on those that may still need a linen or 2 - DM me for delivery or local pickup - contactless of course! Our linens are great for stocking fillers, for gift drawer fillers, or to say thanks to those friends that stop by and make a great day even better.

Getting some Xmas merry on here, at the last market for this strange year (and by the look of it, maybe for a while ...)
Despite crazy weird weather, mushrooming covid clusters, general exhaustion etc, sometimes you just have to What the Ho.
The loveliest little local market in the Highlands wrapping up soon but still able to drop off around the hood for the next few days. Stay safe and well linen lovers, wherever you are.

Some wishful thinking for that person (you know who you are) who always manage to be urgently required elsewhere when wash comes to dry. This linen is perfect for the hard yards or the kitchen wall. Our lovely teas look as great framed as they are hard workers. Put this little lovely on the wall and they'll be queuing up to do the drying up.
