Little Miss Mia chose wisteria for her tiny tutu. Her tutu is decorated with ivory and gold corded lace, mauve and lilac 3D floral lace. The 9 layer skirt features a layer of gold diamond tulle and graduates from cream through to lilac. Over 700 crystals and gems have been added for some gorgeous sparkle on stage.

Aubergine crush velvet and light gold corded lace are a lovely combination. The 12 layer skirt consists of a layer of gold chevron tulle and graduates from cream to lilac and aubergine. The tutu is adorned with over 840 crystals and gems for lots of stage sparkle. Little arm frills complete the look.
This tutu has gone to a lovely dancer in Melbourne.

AI is an amazing tool that can create stunning and imaginative images, and it’s a wonderful source of creativity.
However, I will no longer accept AI-generated images as design inspiration for tutus and costumes. While they look beautiful, they frequently include fabrics, embellishments, colours, and construction details that don’t exist or simply can’t be recreated.
To help me create the best possible tutu or costume for you, I prefer that you use photographs of my tutus and costumes, along with sketches, and detailed descriptions of which design features you like or don’t like. This will ensure I can bring your vision to life while maintaining the quality and craftsmanship my tutus and costumes are known for.
I am sharing the below post from a UK tutu maker because it highlights the use of Ai in costume design really well.

A little update regarding custom design enquiries…

As AI has become more popular, I’ve been receiving more AI-generated costume images as inspiration for custom orders.

From today, I won’t be accepting AI-generated images as design inspiration.

This isn’t because I’m against AI. I actually use it myself from time to time as a design tool, but years of experience mean I know what will work in a real costume and what just isn’t possible.

AI is amazing at creating beautiful images, but it isn’t designing costumes that have to be made, worn and danced in. It often creates made up fabrics, trims, embellishments and details that don’t exist, so it can set expectations that no costume maker could realistically recreate.

I’d much rather you send me a rough sketch, a colour palette, a mood board, photos of costumes I’ve made that you love, or even just tell me the style and feel you’re hoping for. That’s far more useful, and it gives me the freedom to create something that’s beautiful, practical and made especially for you.
