Some things are still better done by hand.
Here’s our father, Aldo, still using the traditional Italian tailoring techniques he learned many years ago.
When setting a sleeve into the shoulder of a jacket, sometimes a machine simply can’t give us the control and precision we’re looking for. By working carefully by hand, we can shape the sleeve, control how it sits and make sure the finished alteration looks as natural as possible.
It takes longer. It requires patience. And yes, there are faster ways to do it.
But after three generations of tailoring, we still believe that if doing something by hand gives us a better result, then that’s how it should be done.
Whether it’s a major alteration or the smallest detail, the same care goes into every garment that comes through our doors.
Old Italian techniques. Three generations of experience. And still doing things properly.
