All the best JD a true gentleman 👏

FAREWELL JD
The excitement of another race meeting also comes with sadness as we farewell our Club Manager John (JD) Donnelly.

This Sunday's meeting will be JD's final day in the chair as Club Manager.

JD has been the backbone of our club for the best part of two decades, all beginning as a 'helping hand' all those years back.

Travelling over from Hamilton to give the club a hand, soon led to his permanent committee and Club Manager role.

A strong racing background & broad knowledge of racing administration has been complimented by a fabulous persona that has resonated with so many people that has had the pleasure to be associated with JD.

Outgoing Club President Mark Davis echoed many people's thoughts.

"JD is a legend of country racing and it's been a pleasure to work with him in his time at Casterton."

All the best JD, your time here at Casterton has been done professionally, and always with a smile, a laugh and even the occasional drink!

Good luck to all the nominees tonight! 👏🥂

I might be a little biased, but I truly believe we have the best community club around! 💙

What makes it so special is the amazing committee, and especially our President, who is so passionate and determined to make this club the very best it can be.

From our Cup Day to our Santa Day races, there is so much happening and so much to be proud of. It takes a great team behind the scenes to make it all happen, and we are incredibly lucky to have one!
Here’s hoping we can bring home the goods tonight! 🤞🏆
