[Arthritis Mini Series]: Part 1 - The Basics 🦶

Arthritis isn’t just one condition. It's actually an umbrella term covering different types of joint disease.

There are 33 joints in each foot that can be affected by arthritis, making it one of the major causes of foot pain.

In parts 2, 3 and 4, we'll be covering:
🦴 Osteoarthritis: wearing down of the joints over time
💎 Gout: caused by uric acid crystal buildup
🔥 Rheumatoid Arthritis: an autoimmune condition

Each type has a different cause, which means treatment can look very different too.

👉 Follow along as we break down each type, what causes it, and how it can affect your feet.

Did you know? 🤔 The term Plantar Fasciitis comes from the words "plantar fascia" (which is the thick band of tissue running along the bottom of your foot) and "-itis", a suffix used to describe inflammation.

Plantar fasciitis occurs when the plantar fascia is placed under excessive strain. Over-pronation, high arches, sudden increases in activity, weight gain, pregnancy, and unsupportive footwear can all contribute to this strain.

In this video, we break down what plantar fasciitis is, why it happens, and how the right footwear and orthotic support can help reduce strain on the plantar fascia.

Check out other videos in our Foot Conditions Series or visit the link in bio to learn more about how orthotics can help.

Experiencing Achilles pain? Early treatment can make a big difference. 💪

Achilles tendon pain is often caused by repeated strain and micro-damage to the tendon that connects your calf muscles to your heel.

Common symptoms include:
• Pain above the back of the heel
• Tight calf muscles
• Tenderness to touch
• Thickening of the tendon

While overuse and tight calves can contribute, poor foot posture is often a major underlying cause. Excessive pronation places extra stress on the Achilles, leading to irritation and ongoing pain.

If left untreated, this could result in a tendon rupture. ⚠️☠️

Treatment should focus on both symptom relief and addressing the root cause. Heel lifts can help reduce strain, while orthotics and a targeted strengthening program can support healing, improve function, and reduce the risk of further injury.

How do you fix your arch pain? 👇

Arch pain is often felt as a dull or sharp ache underneath the long arch of the foot. While there can be a number of causes, one of the most common is flat feet or overpronation — but strain to the soft tissues in the arch can also play a role.

Some common causes of arch pain include:
✔️ Plantar Fasciitis
✔️ Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome
✔️ Foot strain from flat feet or overpronation
✔️ Osteoarthritis in the midfoot joints

The good news? In most cases, arch pain can be managed with the right support and footwear 👟

A few simple tips:
• Avoid high heels where possible
• Choose supportive footwear with good midfoot and heel support
• Look for shock-absorbing soles and removable insoles
• If your pain is related to flat feet or overpronation, orthotics with proper arch support can help control foot movement and relieve strain

If you’re dealing with ongoing arch pain, don’t ignore it! The right treatment can make a huge difference 🙌

Sore feet? This might be your sign 👀

We accidentally overstocked our best-selling Charcoal shoes… so you’re getting an EXTRA $20 off (on top of our sale 👀) + FREE shipping.

But here’s why it actually matters 👇
Our signature orthotic footbed is designed to support your arches, align your gait cycle & cushion your feet. By mapping the entire muscle and soft tissue in the foot, pressure gets spread evenly across the entire foot surface—helping reduce painful hotspots and foot fatigue.

Many "arch support" products on the market are too soft and just flatten underneath your weight. They lack the rigidity and structure to actually lift the arches and support the feet.

That's why we only make medical-grade orthotics.

Our signature orthotic is a medium-density, ideal for both regular and first-time orthotic wearers looking for a supportive, every day option.

Whether you’re dealing with plantar fasciitis, flat feet, or just tired feet after a long day… this is for YOU.

Follow along for Part 3 where we break down specific foot conditions & what actually helps 🙌
