Celebration of Sue Clinch

It is with heavy hearts that Trevor and the team at Canning Pool & Pump Centre invite our customers, suppliers, friends and the wider Kalgoorlie-Boulder community to join us in celebrating the life of our much-loved Sue Clinch.

For more than 30 years, Trevor and Sue built Canning Pool & Pump Centre side by side. Together they created more than a business - they built a reputation founded on honesty, hard work, loyalty and genuine care for every customer who walked through the door.

What started as a shared dream became a business that has proudly served generations of local families, and Sue’s presence will forever remain part of its story.

Sue was the heart behind so much of what happened every day. Her kindness, warm smile and willingness to help made customers feel like friends, and her impact reached far beyond the walls of our store.

Following the service, The Clinch family warmly invite everyone to join them for Sue’s wake from 3:00pm at the Tatts Club, Egan Street, Kalgoorlie. It will be an opportunity to come together, share stories, reflect on Sue’s remarkable life, and celebrate the incredible legacy that she and Trevor built together.

For those unable to attend in person, the family is doing everything they can to arrange a live stream of the service. If we’re able to make this possible, the details will be shared as soon as they are confirmed.

Trevor and all of us at Canning Pool & Pump Centre would like to sincerely thank everyone who has reached out over recent weeks. Your phone calls, messages, visits, flowers and countless acts of kindness have provided comfort and strength during an incredibly difficult time.

The support shown to Trevor, our team and the Clinch family has been deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten.

As we gather to honour Sue, we also celebrate the partnership she shared with Trevor - a partnership that built not only a successful business, but a lasting legacy within our community.

Thank you for helping us celebrate an extraordinary woman. Sue’s legacy will continue through the business she and Trevor built together, and through the countless lives she touched along the way. 💙

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our much-loved Sue on Thursday, 18 June.

Thirty-three years ago, Sue and Trevor took over Canning Pool & Pump Centre and poured their hearts into building not just a business, but a place built on honesty, hard work, and genuine care for every customer who walked through the door. Sue was the heart of our family, and the heart of this business.

The last two weeks have been incredibly difficult as we try to come to terms with such a sudden loss. On behalf of Trevor and our entire family, we would like to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming kindness, patience, flowers, messages, and support you’ve shown us. It has meant more than words can express.

We would also like to acknowledge our incredible team at Canning Pool & Pump Centre. They have kept the business operating while carrying heavy hearts of their own, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their dedication and support during this time.

Sue’s funeral service will be held on Friday, 31 July. We will be closing the business for the day so that our family and team can celebrate Sue’s life together. Anyone wishing to attend will be warmly welcomed, and we will share the service details in the coming days.

As a family, we’re still navigating the shock and heartbreak of losing not only an incredible wife, mum, grandmother and friend, but the matriarch of both our family and this business. We know that, with time, we’ll find our way forward - just as Sue would have wanted - but for now, we ask for your continued patience, understanding and kindness.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside us.
