When the ATO & Financial Institutions refuse to bear the cost of excessive bank card surcharges you have to wonder why SME’s are expected to carry the burden of convenience.

That same $1.6 billion in surcharges is now being passed on to merchants, many of whom have had to raise their prices - meaning more goes to the ATO in extra GST. 🤦‍♀️

Cash - a legal tender payment system that’s immune to wifi outages, its value remains the same, it’s not eaten away by bank card surcharges and the transactions share zero personal data and purchasing history with 3rd party corporations.

Next time you visit us, consider dusting off that ancient leather wallet or purse and hit the Bank. Let’s keep things local, cut out the middle man and stick it to the card processors - one polymer note at a time.
