Good food, slow mornings, a little shopping and beach walks while watching the weather roll in.

Last weekend looked a little like this.

3. Lunch at Beach Byron Bay has been on my list for years and yes, it absolutely lived up to my expectations

5. A visit to Byron isn’t a visit to Byron unless it involves dinner at Bang Bang

6.Yes! This bush turkey deserved a spot in the carousel. She greeted us every time we headed out or returned to our Airbnb

7. I somehow came home with a new dress from Hope and May despite having no intention of shopping. I just couldn’t resist 🖤

For as long as I can remember, I wandered through markets and small boutiques searching for jewellery that felt considered, a little unexpected and unlike what everyone else was wearing.

When I found those pieces, I wore them constantly.

I built a collection I loved. But many of those pieces, though meaningful to me, weren’t made with longevity in mind. Eventually they would tarnish, break or reach a point where they simply couldn’t be repaired.

Those experiences quietly became the foundation for Equals - a place to create refined, enduring jewellery designed to be worn often and kept for years to come.

But over time, it’s become so much more than that.

It’s the stories.

The sentiment.

The why behind the pieces.

Sometimes women meet me with jewellery they’ve had tucked away for years - pieces tied to a mother, a grandmother, a love story or another chapter of life.

Jewellery she no longer wears, yet can’t imagine parting with.

Sometimes it's helping her select the right pearls for a pair of hoop earrings because, after spending years looking after everyone else, she finally wanted to do something just for herself.

Other times it’s the ring her entire family contributed toward for her 40th birthday - the one with her favourite stone that she never take offs.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to begin, but consider this your invitation.
