1960s Black Bear Brand Wool Field Jacket

A beautiful piece of Pacific Northwest history just hit the floor and our site.

If you love vintage Filson, this is right up your alley - but original 60s Black Bear pieces are significantly harder to find. This one is in incredible near-deadstock condition, and features a rare, naturally tailored fit instead of the usual boxy “tent” shape.

The everything-but-blue chore drop.
We all know and love the classic blue French chores, but other colour variants are always a special find. This latest drop includes greens, orange and blacks - including a black moleskin french chore jacket that has faded to perfection.

A fresh batch of vintage hunting jackets went out on the floor today, including this 1980s Filson Tin Cloth Upland jacket.

I was having a chat with a builder who came into the shop for the first time recently. He ended up buying three of these jackets to wear on-site. While I was standing there admiring the details - pointing out how great the corduroy and wool collars looked and how the pockets sat - he was purely looking at the utility. He was obsessed with the sheer weight of the canvas. He knew they’d eventually get covered in cement, but he said you just can’t find this level of durability in new workwear anymore.

It was a great reminder of why these pieces endure. They’re cut wide for layering, heavily reinforced, and built with an absurd amount of practical storage (good for anything from tools to a loaf of sourdough).
