Thursday morning musings from someone who has been on this planet since MTV actually played music…

Some people inspire you to be more like them.

Others inspire you to think Jesus f**king Christ, never let me become that.

You know the ones.

The permanent mean girl in the corner with her two friends, judging everyone who dares enjoy themselves.

The jealous ones. The reckless ones. The ones who can’t clap for another woman without internally combusting.

The ones still behaving like we’re in the cafeteria in Heathers (and I am a Heather) and somebody has to be voted off the table.

Girl please. We are in our 50s. 😂

After a lifetime of plot twists, trauma and enough red flags to carpet the entire set of a Duran Duran video, I’ve acquired one particularly useful superpower:

Discernment.

My radar is razor f**king sharp.

And annoyingly, when I get that feeling about someone, I’m rarely wrong.

But I refuse to let s**tty people turn me into one.

I’ll still be loud. Still be kind. Still hype other women. Still assume the best.

I’ll just know exactly who isn’t getting a backstage pass.

Stay weird. Stay kind. And for the love of God, don’t become the mean girl. We’re too f**king old. 💋

Okay girls… Never Fully Dressed has landed at Love Spell and I am VERY excited about this one.

Because honestly, this brand could not make more sense for us if I tried. Or if I created it myself.

It’s colourful, a little bit unexpected, a little bit “I’m wearing this because I f**king love it” and completely unapologetic about having FUN with fashion. It’s also feels equally as beautiful as it looks and is made for a women’s body…

And that’s exactly what I want Love Spell to be about.

I don’t want you coming in here looking for the safe option. I want you finding the dress you keep thinking about, the print you weren’t sure you could pull off, the thing that makes you feel a little more fabulous than you did when you walked through the door.

Never Fully Dressed started on a market stall in East London and grew from customising clothes into this amazing brand built around individuality, creativity and clothes that can actually be played with and worn your way.

That is so Love Spell.

More personality. More colour. More you. More “f**k it, I’m wearing it.”

So yes… she’s here. 🐆

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY… ON MONDAY. 😂

I’m literally sitting in my car trying to get this post up because apparently a Thursday night event + opening shop number two on Saturday has completely f**ked with my concept of time.

Six things I remembered about myself while doing this:

I say f**k me approximately 47 times a day.
I bite off WAY more than I can chew.
Shop counters and pendants are the actual f**king devil.
The shop is tiny and I’m trying to fit 10 pounds of s**t into a 5 pound bag.
“Coming this week” now means approximately 85 f**king days.
And I am ferociously f**king determined.

But honestly…

YOU GUYS.

The messages. The visits. The flowers. The hugs. The cheering. The people who came in just to say welcome.

I’ve been completely blown away.

And my amazing girls who have thrown themselves into this with me, and my husband who has literally brought the whole f**king thing to life…I could not have done it without you.

Six years after opening Love Spell in Kyneton, somehow we’ve done it again.

HELLO DAYLESFORD. 💋 We’re under your spell already.

We are so f**king thrilled to be here.

Now excuse me while I go find the 47 things I’ve apparently forgotten to do.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG 🌸✨

Tonight we get to throw open the doors and celebrate another beautiful Piper Street After Dark…and honestly, this one feels extra special.

A massive thank you to every trader who collaborated, shared resources, made plans, shifted things around, put in the work and helped bring this beautiful night to life for our community. It takes a village, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this one.

And a MASSIVE shoutout to my beautiful friend Nat, who somehow always takes the chaotic visions in my head and turns them into something even better than I imagined. You’re magic. 💐

I’m so bloody honoured to have such talented, generous, creative and giving people surrounding me.

Here’s to spring.
Here’s to Piper Street.
Here’s to community.
And here’s to the next chapter. ✨

What my mind looks like at one am on Pinterest. Again. 😂

Gold. Leopard. Pink. Velvet. Flowers. Lamps. Vintage. A little chaos. A LOT of Love Spell.

It’s all finally coming together and we’re about two weeks out.

I’ve been dreaming this up for months and watching it actually happen is giving me ALL the feels. And if looks like too much. That is exactly the point!!
