Sevilla , in the south of Spain it’s so close to the African continent and its architecture reflects this. The intricate style in stonework, wood and ceramic is absolutely beautiful. The curved narrow streets, with plazas filled with outdoor dining options, the gardens , the fountains, the flamenco are all enchanting. We walked and explored gardens, palaces and museums. Light breathable fabrics, comfortable shoes and hats were my go to items dressing for the climate. My neutral tonal wardrobe with pants and tops was perfect. I also loved bringing out a new dress .. and yes we still have the cream pants and top and the linen print dress available .

From San Sebastián to Bilbao we walked over 155km through rain, wind and sunshine. Spectacular scenery, rural settings, coast and some roads were a part of the path . We met some wonderful people along the way and thought it was hard at times, the sense of achievement and the pleasant slowing down of the world is something that I felt great benefit from . If you are thinking similarly then make a plan to do it. Our Otway forest is a start , with so many walks on our doorstep I will be out there or along the Ocean Road more frequently. Happy to share any travel tips

San Sebastián is known for its wonderful food particularly pinxos - bite sized morsels to be enjoyed with drinks sampling meats, cheeses, seafood in the area. The Old town has many fantastic bars. On the other side of the river we discovered more wonderful restaurants. The beach is also amazing in SS , the tide changes it enormously. The baroque beauty of St Mary of the Chorus Church I have shared.. the organ was played while we visited! So atmospheric. We also saw some beautiful artwork and happened upon the choir too. The weather was wet and provided the perfect excuse to relax and eat prior to embarking on Camino du Norte. My jeans and long cream pants have been worn multiple times and I have embraced the denim shirt- a favorite from citizens of humanity.. and also the cream layers. The tonal dressing options always look smart. The hiking jacket I picked out is an easy one to mix with daily looks too!

Saint Jean de Luz , fishing village meets seaside holiday resort town on the Atlantic Coast of France, close to the Spanish border. Some great shops and restaurants! Lovely seaside promenade with substantial infrastructure- massive rock walls and spits to protect the Harbour and beach. Seafarers and fishing have long been so important to this region. A great place for a couple of days as we make our way to Spain.

We loved planning Neighborhood walks while in Paris. From the Latin quarter over the Seine to Le Marais where we saw fabulous shops and restaurants, we settled for an onion soup in a simple bistro as the rain came down. Place de Voges is always beautiful. Something I adore is getting up just at dawn and doing a run / walk . There are no crowds and how’s this route straight through the Louvre into the Tuileries garden. The philosophy of packing in similar colour tones with denim and navy accents have been working very well.. and hike gear for morning exercise.

Paris musings in the Luxembourg Gardens, walking out from our base in the Latin quarter, savoring sunset on the Seine and the wonderful Bon Marche food hall. The weather for our first day was stunning. Interesting to see classic colours , black, white and the addition of a neutral camel was prevalent in street style. Cool sunglasses and woven tote bags. Bon Marche had an exciting summer promotion area with lots of fun pieces.. I will share in story . Dior is really on point with their classic skirts a silhouette noted and the styling of distressed jeans with their usually done up looks . Signature of new designer at the helm. Chanel windows were stunning. Note plaid and pops of red, brown and burgundy. I have packed an interchangeable wardrobe with lots of cream, easy to mix and match as spring becomes summer and we move from city to coastal areas. Denim and a navy blazer for dressing up or down. Anine Bing, Mother denim, Pedro Garcia , Rabens Saloner and Le stripe have been my go to brands so far .
