This is where it all started. I was 12 years old. ❤️ This is where it all started. Me. My mum. A table full of things from my grandmothers garage. (Part 1 of a little series I'm doing on the origin story of Frangipani Living — because our 19th birthday is coming up and I figured it was finally time to actually tell this story properly.)
I was about 12 the first time we set up here together. I had absolutely no idea that this was the beginning of a business partnership that would end up lasting most of my life.
It was nothing fancy. Not even close. garage sale bits and pieces at first, then handmade crafts — my mum painting folk art on antiques (she can genuinely turn her hand to anything, always could), me doing things like jewellery making and decoupage because I have an eye for colour and detail but zero of her actual artistic talent 😄. Whatever the trending craft was, we were doing it.
But standing here now, I can see that every single market we did together was teaching us something — how to find what people actually want, how to talk to customers, how to adapt when something stops working. We just didn't know it yet.
None of this was the plan. Frangipani Living was never "the plan." But in the back of our minds a “real” shop was always the dream. It just… eventually became what it was supposed to be.

Only 1 style in this week's "By Frankie" drop, but it's a hit! 🤩 I'm calling it "sagey grey" coloured camo, with a choc, cream and black racer stripe down the sides. A great neutral combo that will pair with almost everything. And as usual some have already gone, we're down to our last pieces already, 1 x XS, 2 x S, 1 x M, 1 x L and you know the drill, that's it folks once they're gone they're gone!!! 😲

Well, this week has been a bit of an "adventure" at Frangipani Living! 🙈
One of our big Wakee Denim deliveries decided to take a little detour… all the way to Perth. 🤦‍♀️ It's on its way back to us, but it's going to be about another week before it arrives.
In the meantime, we still DO have a gorgeous range of Wakee styles in store right now — and honestly, so much beautiful new stock across dresses, tops, knitwear and more that we'd love for you to come and have a look at while we wait for our runaway box to find its way home.
We've been sharing some of what's here in our stories, so jump on and have a look — you might just find your next favourite thing, maybe it isn't a pair of jeans after all. 😄

As I mentioned in yesterday's stories, "By Frankie" did not release any new Tees or shirts or tops of any kind in this week's drop. HOWEVER, we did get our hands on 2 NEW pairs of her top selling pants. Remember last week's pants have sold out completely so don't snooze on these new designs! 🤩 Carmel's unpacking them now, and they are up online ready for you now, so no excuses if you miss out on your size.
