❤️ THE MERIDIAN STEPS — A NEW CHAPTER FOR MARULAN ❤️

A little while ago, something rather special was completed in Magical Marulan.

For many years, the steps connecting the roadside parking to Marulan Emporio and The Meridian Cafe had become unsafe and difficult to navigate.

Now, they have been transformed.

Safer. More accessible. More welcoming. And with the new safety handrails now in place, The Meridian Steps are complete and ready to serve our community and visitors for many years to come.

The construction period wasn’t without its challenges. The works had a significant impact on our business and access to ME, and we were very fortunate that the weather did not cause further disruption or delay to the project.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Goulburn Mulwaree Council, the Marulan Progress Association, and everyone involved in the planning, design, management and construction of this important community project.

We would also like to acknowledge the wonderful construction team for their hard work, professionalism and courtesy throughout the works. Their dedication was greatly appreciated.

The result is something the whole community can be proud of.

Here’s to progress, community and connection. ❤️

And at a time when the people of Nepal are facing devastating floods and landslides, those words feel especially meaningful.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected — those who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods, those still waiting for news, and the rescuers and communities working tirelessly to help others.

May there always be safe paths, helping hands and communities that come together when they are needed most. ❤️

🚂✨ ALL ABOARD… WELL, ALMOST! ✨🚂
Something wonderfully old-fashioned is rolling through Magical Marulan this weekend! 🚂❤️

The Goulburn Picnic Train is making its way between Sydney and Goulburn, with mighty steam locomotive R766 hauling the heritage train through the beautiful Southern Highlands.

And here’s the Marulan twist…

🚂 You can’t catch the Picnic Train in Marulan — but you CAN watch it from Marulan Train Station! 👀

So grab the kids, your camera, your inner railway enthusiast… and head down to the station to see a magnificent piece of railway history steam through town.

It’s a fabulous reminder that Marulan isn’t just on the 150th Meridian East — we’re also right on the railway line connecting Sydney and the Southern Tablelands. 😉

The Picnic Train is heading to Goulburn for the Goulburn Model Expo & Goulburn Heritage Roundhouse, with plenty of time for passengers to explore Goulburn’s cafes, restaurants and attractions.

On 26 August, devastating flash floods tore through communities in northern Nepal, destroying homes, roads, bridges and critical infrastructure.

Hundreds of lives have been lost and hundreds more people remain missing as rescue and relief efforts continue. Communities have been left isolated, with urgent needs for shelter, clean water, food, medical assistance and basic essentials.

And so we have a question for the FAST FASHION INDUSTRY:

WHAT IF YOUR EXCESS COULD HELP SAVE A LIFE?

Every year, enormous quantities of perfectly wearable clothing become unwanted stock, surplus inventory, returns and waste.

PLEASE DON’T SEND IT TO LANDFILL.
