I actually don’t even know how to put yesterday into words.
You know when you look at something and your brain goes... surely this isn’t real?
That was yesterday.
Because these photos?
They don’t feel like photos.
They feel like the front cover of a love story.
The kind of book you pick up because the cover pulls you in, and before you’ve even read the first page you already know you’re about to fall in love with the characters.
It was freezing.
It was wet.
The paddocks were muddy.
My client was heavily pregnant and my sister ended up driving her around in the Polaris so she could still soak up every second of it.
And somehow... somehow it was perfect.
Because the weather didn’t take away from the moment.
It added to it.
The way they held onto each other.
The way they laughed.
The way they looked at each other like nobody else existed.
It wasn’t a photoshoot.
It was a little piece of their story unfolding in front of me.
And my girl Allissa was there shadowing me, and honestly... I couldn’t have picked a better session for her to experience.
Because this is the magic.
This is the part that can’t be taught.
It’s not about getting people to stand in the right spot.
It’s about creating a space where they forget you’re even there.
Where they just love each other.
Where the moments happen naturally.
And I think the funniest thing is...
The more weird and wonderful I allow myself to be, the more I find people who match that energy.
The people who are happy to jump in the Polaris, run through paddocks, trust my crazy ideas and just embrace whatever unfolds.
And when you find that kind of connection?
The sky really is the limit.
Yesterday wasn’t just a session.
