The Beginning
Welcome to Gauntlets of Love! I'm Barb, and I'm excited to share an update to my 'About' section, detailing the journey of my unique fingerless gloves. Since February 2020, I've been passionately handcrafting these 'Glovelettes,' initially donating them to various charities. To sustain this work and broaden its reach, I began selling within my community, which paved the way for the
brave launch of this 'Gauntlets of Love' page in May 2020. Five years on, in July 2025, I proudly reached a significant milestone: 1,000 Glovelettes donated to diverse charities, community groups, and as heartfelt gifts of kindness. As I move forward, I feel it's time for an exciting new chapter in my donation efforts, at least for the next year. My focus will now shift to wholeheartedly supporting Share the Dignity by supplying much-needed feminine hygiene products. This means that every Glovelette sold will directly contribute to this vital cause. Funds for this initiative will be sourced from a percentage of all sales, generously supplemented by a portion of my Facebook Monetisation payments. My ambitious goal is to donate at least 100 sanitary items by August 2026. While my Glovelette sales are currently limited to Australian Residents, I warmly invite everyone worldwide to enjoy and interact with my page โ your engagement with my posts, (I so enjoy sharing my artwork and writings), plays a crucial role in generating the monetisation payments, directly helping me achieve this new goal.
