Where does my brand name Odysseus&Penelope come from?

With the new Christopher Nolan movie “The Odyssey” coming out, I thought it was the perfect time to discuss the inspiration behind my brand name.
I’ve always been really drawn to Greek culture & a lot of my creativity seems to derive from my interest in Greek mythology, specifically the story the odyssey.
My mum really loves this story and together we decided to name my brand after the two main characters from the Odyssey: “ Odysseus & Penelope “, king & queen of island Ithica. A lot of my designs are inspired by mythological characters such as mermaids, fairies ect and you may notice a lot of references to the Odyssey throughout previous collection names.
I love the ocean and Greece is my favourite place in the world and that is why a lot of my designs are resort wear focused with intent to connect fashion consumers to our natural world.
