Fast jerky movements, the sound of bones cracking and joints popping, a gentle groan, or was it a moan? Too many eyes, why are they looking at me like that? Open gore and viscera, oozing and dripping. Sharp teeth appear and then disappear behind folds of red inflamed skin. Is it going to eat me, or just kill me? I haven't seen any other bodies, is there anyone left? I'm cornered, there's no escape, I guess this is my fate, no point in fighting, I close my eyes, surrender.

An amalgamation of goopy flesh engulfs me, taking control of my body, then my mind, it doesn't hurt, it's comforting, like i'm home. I understand now, this is how it feels to be the ultimate life form, I have joined a collective, it's no longer I, but we. We need to find others and help them evolve into us. They need our help, they don't understand, they are so lonely, scared, fragile, but we will make them understand, give them this gift, this power.
