One thing I never expected when I started making custom labels was how much I’d come to care about the people behind them.

Many of my longtime customers are grandmothers. They’ve spent years knitting and crocheting, and I know they wouldn’t easily give up something they love. So when I don’t hear from someone for a long time, I can’t help but wonder how they’re doing.

A few days ago, I received an email from a customer I hadn’t heard from in almost two years.

She told me she’d been very sick, but she was finally able to start making beanies again.

I still had the label design we created together years ago.

Being able to make her labels again made me happier than I can describe.

Maybe that’s why I never delete a customer’s design.

You never know when they’ll be ready to create again. ❤️
