There’s almost exactly 2 hours worth of work between these photos.
I can tell you right now, the lines aren’t straight, there’s going to be a lot of clean up and sanding… frankly I’m asking a lot of a scroll saw blade that can’t be more than 2mm deep and probably a 0.5mm cutting face…

And you might be wondering… is that really worth it? To that I’ll say this: I love this job. I love the challenges of bringing things to life. I love using my hands to do so. Is it smooth sailing? Rarely, is it quick? Nope… but it’s satisfying.

I don’t have the luxury that I had early on where Hades Industries was becoming this powerhouse and was able to be my main focus and income… it’s a very different world now, personally and on a global scale… but, I can say this… I still enjoy making things and, even if I can’t always do it at the speed I’d love… I’ll never stop.

⚠️FAKE PROPS⚠️
A new shotty prop build has entered the chat… but what could the next one be?
We’ll just see if it goes ahead.

Sitting somewhat abandoned for a week or two.
The long hours but especially the travel each day have been kicking my ass and I’ve been passing on the couch, occasionally mid meal.

So much so that I even forgot to post about the fact I’ve officially been at this 13 years as of the 1st. Maybe we’ll do a giveaway or a raffle soon to make up for it? We’ll see.
For now, I need rest 🤣

I have a tendency to share cool art I find with friends but I feel like we could all do with some more art in our lives.
Videos like this make me want to push my limits and try new things while also challenging myself with larger scale builds and new materials.

Share with all of ussome cool art you’ve found recently?

You’ll have to ignore tonight’s crappy quality photos.
But my current commitment to building bigger builds that I’m interested in results in a couple of things…
My initial “quick cut down” removing almost 3kg of material, my body vibrating holding this buck to my scroll saw as it rattles around, stretched to its limit… cutting a depth of 54mm (its maximum is 56mm)… and my bandsaw is currently out of action so I couldn’t have done this cut there…

It’s slow going… there are going to be LOTS of blade changes in my future… but the Fortnite Surgical Burst is officially in the works now too.
