With great sadness the time has unfortunately come to close my pattern shop and website.

It has been a grieving process for a few years now for me to realise that I can’t do it ALL at the SAME time. Motherhood to 2 small children is all consuming and leaves with me with little left in the tank at the end of the day to do much of anything.

I do manage to squeeze in some much needed personal sewing where I can. This hobby has been a blessing and saves my sanity every day.

I continue to admire women who can manage the household, kids and continue their businesses however I am not on of those ladies right now.

Website will be closing in June so if you want to nab any of the patterns, get them quick!

I will be keeping Instagram and posting when I can but will be changing the name and putting Wearable Studio to rest for now. Never say never and who knows where I will go in the future when I have a little bit more time and headspace.

Thank you to everyone who has tested, downloaded, shared, commented and purchased my patterns. Until next time.

NEW POST Sewing Jeans Part 2. I made my first pair of jeans this year, the Ginger Jeans. Find out how it went >>>

In Part 1 of Sewing Jeans , I described the tumultuous relationship with my jeans over the years. In this post, I’ll be sharing the experience of sewing my first ever pair of jeans. This is not a post on How To Sew Jeans, but rather a story of the ups and downs of the process.

NEW POST... All about jeans. Part 1 is an ode to my love of wearing jeans. What is your relationship with jeans?

We all have some kind of relationship with our jeans- for some its a torrid love -hate relationship. For others it is a solid commitment and loyalty. For me it is nothing more than a love affair. When others rush home at the end of a tiring day to put on their comfiest pair of tracksuit pants, I sli

After testing quite a few mask styles, I think I’ve found ‘the one’. These 3D masks are very comfortable, easy to breath in (quite important!) and the best with glasses. Still combatting the foggy glass problem now and then but it’s much better with this mask. Now to start a mask sewing production line for . What a crazy world- I’m getting excited about a mask!?! Welcome to 2020.

Yes! Me too. Yes I have jumped on the mask making wagon and selling on Etsy under MaskMeMelb (link in bio). The demand is HUGE and I don’t think it’s going away soon. The more we as a sewing community can make, the better. Sewists are coming to the rescue once again in a crisis this year. First it was the bushfires and sewing pouches for injured wildlife and now . Sending 💕 to all the amazing sewists whether you’re selling, donating, just sewing for friends or just generally supporting the community. Let’s do this!

Let’s speak with our actions. They don’t have to be bold posts on social media, but simply small decisions you make in your everyday life every single day - whether it’s seen by someone or by no-one. Never stop learning, growing and respecting one another. Change starts with each of us.

Shoutout to for sharing some beautiful and relevant images I’ve shared on too.

20 May. Wednesday. Cool but sunny. A real life of everyday. The little one never too far from my arms (her choice not mine). It is one I can never go past and it’s even better in this high quality knit I purchased from a few weeks back. I’ve always had a gap in my winter handmades but it slowly being filled up. 😊

13 May. Wearing a today by . I originally had contrast band and sleeve cuffs to match the neck tab but found I didn’t wear it much. So I recently changed it up to the current version - cut the cuffs in the same fabric with some leftovers bits and reduced the hem band to a male contrast binding. It just proves how tiny detail changes can make a huge difference. I think I’ll be wearing this one a bit more now.
