It’s been a while… 💛
This little corner of the internet has been pretty quiet for a few years.
Back then, I Believe in Me was all about supporting teacher wellbeing and creating little reminders that encouraged teachers—whether that was wearable messages designed to inspire students, wellbeing notepads or even water bottles reminding us to look after ourselves too.
A lot has changed since then.
I’ve gone from being a full-time classroom teacher to teaching HASS across multiple year levels, where I refined my classroom management and lesson structure to make every minute of the hour count. Along the way, I then had the privilege of being involved in an individualised behaviour intervention that completely changed the direction of my thinking and sparked a deeper curiosity about behaviour, learning and how we can better support teachers and students.
That curiosity has led me to an incredible opportunity.
Earlier this year, I was fortunate to be successful in receiving a Department scholarship to begin a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis at Monash University . Starting this month, I’ll be completing the master’s alongside working full-time at school—a challenge I’m both excited and a little nervous about.
To be honest, I don’t know that I would have taken this leap without that opportunity.
So, this page is evolving too.
My hope is that it becomes a place where I can share the research that’s changing my thinking, explore what it might look like in real classrooms, reflect honestly on the journey, and translate behaviour science into practical classroom support that honours the reality of teaching.
If you’ve been here since the beginning, thank you for sticking around.
If you’re new, welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.
Here’s to learning out loud. 💛
