Part 4! Helping Hands Op Shops & Community Pantries ✨♻️✨

10/08/2026

Part three! I should be waiting until tomorrow to post this, because I’m out all day tomorrow and I don’t have any time to make anything for this series tomorrow. I’m posting as I make and I posted part two this morning so honestly I should be waiting but I’m going to share it anyway because I’m on the adrenaline and dopamine of completing a task and I want to share it 🪡✨ but now you’ll have to wait til Wednesday for part four, sorry!

This series is to support Helping Hands Op Shops & Community Pantries and work together in empowering people to reclaim their textile waste. I’ll be finishing off part four and five on Wednesday, which means they’ll be in store real soon ✨

Part two of recreating the undesirables from the rummage room at Helping Hands Op Shops & Community Pantries ✨🍀♻️ everything I create for this project will go back to Helping Hands Airport West, when they sell all the money will stay with the charity to go toward all of the incredible work they do 💕 I’ll let you know when I drop them off 🪡

The chaos in this video is a lot, I jumped around all over the place and I definitely didn’t think before I spoke, as I rewatched it I realised the parts 1, 2, c, b - whatever I said didn’t make sense out loud as much as it did in my head.

You know I used to really try to curate a “professional and polished” version of myself online, I wouldn’t let the raw chaos unfold online, only in my reality.

I had these voices in my head and from my domestication about the way I present myself, and these were massive blocks I’ve had to work through. It was many things that have allowed me to realise the raw Emi, but the biggest one was getting so angry with someone who’s validation I had been unconsciously seeking that allowed me to break free and not care what people think anymore.

So here you can see the intuitive, playful nature in which I create and design as I go, I have a lot of fun now that I’ve figured out how my brain works and just flow with it, rather than fight it. I court chaos in all of its beauty and use it as a catalyst for my creativity ✨

The dress here, shirt in the last video, and jumper in the one before will be available at Helping Hands Op Shops & Community Pantries next week ♻️🪡

Garment one finished! The clothing I make in this series comes from the rummage room where things that aren’t fit or selling on the shop floor go, so they’re kept out of landfill and offered for only $2 a kilo! Helping Hands Op Shops & Community Pantries have so many incredible incentives and so to support them, I’m reclaiming a small collection of garments, then taking them back to the shop so they can sell them, with all profits staying within the charity ✨ I’ll be heading down next week and possibly looking for some people to model the creations for me, if that sounds like fun comment below and I’ll send you a message with the time I’ll be there ♻️🎀💕

When I say I’m an intuitive designer this is what I mean, I take things my brain says “yes they go together” and I chop without measuring, sew without pinning and create without thinking ✨

But actually a few weeks ago I was out for dinner and a girl complimented my skirt and I froze and said “thank you” when actually I wanted to tell her I made it, and that it had six pockets 😭 these videos are practise for the public but common for my friends ✨
