A new chapter for the Cupboard 📦

Just a little moving post, and an overdue thankyou for the love on the Aussie Drop before the World Cup.

Thanks again to everyone who made a purchase in the last 2.5 years, your support has meant more than you believe.

I have been super busy since the World Cup started and so I haven’t had much time to be active on here but hopefully that changes soon. We have a lot of unlisted stock to be dropped and we can’t wait to show you 🤩

The Brazilian Brate Kell Santos 🇧🇷🇭🇷

It was super loud at Fan Zone World Cup 26 as we popped up for the Brazil vs Morocco opener and thankfully so too that no one saw me crying in front of A-Leagues Melbourne Victory star Santos 🥹

He came over to buy a classic Neymar jersey when I discovered he had played in Croatia for NK Dubrava. This club has been on my mind since I lost my Dida in March, as he told us only a few months prior that he played there when he was younger - new information and new stories to my own mum while he was on a hospital bed. When I saw the club name again I instantly had wet eyes and had to ask my new brate about it, and I’m super grateful he gave me his time and of course the hug I needed 🥹

Santos also had successful spells in Bosnia 🇧🇦 before making his move to Australia and lighting up the A-League, and a big player to watch this upcoming season 🇦🇺

We have just seen the last World Cup appearance for the legend that is Luka Modrić.

We had a chat with Joey Didulica, an Australian Born member of the 2006 Croatian World Cup Squad, who got to witness first hand the first appearance of Luka at this tournament 20 years earlier.

Not the result we hoped for, but it’s not every day you get to speak to a former Vatreni member 🇭🇷
