Celebrating the Timeless Elegance of Bengal 🙏
Yesterday, I had the immense honour of representing my home state, West Bengal, at the prestigious event.
Draped in the iconic cream saree with the traditional red border, a timeless symbol of Bengali grace, culture, and heritage. I proudly showcased the beauty of Bengal on an international stage.
Our performance began with a heartfelt tribute to Kobi Guru Rabindranath Tagore, whose music and poetry continue to define the soul of Bengal. It then resonated with the powerful beats of the Dhaak, the sacred rhythm of the Dhunuchi Dance, and culminated in the portrayal of Maa Durga, the embodiment of strength, courage, compassion, and the divine power that resides within every woman.
Through this performance, we offered the audience a glimpse into the grandeur of Durga Puja, the biggest and most celebrated festival of West Bengal, a celebration of devotion, culture, art, and the triumph of good over evil.
The elegant white (cream) and red-bordered Bengali saree is more than just an outfit; it is a signature of Bengal’s identity, worn with pride during Durga Puja and cherished across generations.
