This is the custom mold that was designed by that was used to make the recycled plastic links on the sustainable. C.O.O.P Gem bag. This proved to be quite a tricky endeavour, but the team at PPM persevered until we had a product that we were really happy with. Made from recycled plastic bottle tops, into a functional, funky product. I thought this was a much better idea, than using an off the shelf product - using a product already in existence. And PPM are just one of the businesses out there doing amazing things to help save our planet from climate change. I’m going to try to highlight some of the great sustainable businesses out there that I’ve had the pleasure of working with, or getting to know over the last 4.5 years . Get ready to be amazed!

A quick reminder of what the leather that is used to make the C.O.O.P Tote handles looks like. This leather was reclaimed from a waste clothing/fabrics facility and was waste from another industry- hence the chalk marks and cut outs. I just try to use what I can, to avoid this resource finding its way into landfill. It has been used as a logo patch, handle, interior tie piece, and strap attatcher on the recycled plastic cross body bag. I initially had no plans to add leather to my bags, but felt I really had to do something with it when I discovered it. Waste as a resource! I love it!
