Hightide has been making stationery out of Fukuoka since 1994, started by two friends, a surfer and a design aficionado. Penco followed five years later, named as shorthand for Pen Company and built around a single American-made pen. The reference points have not shifted since: American utilitarian design, Japanese manufacturing, form following function. Penco is Hightide’s flagship line, so the two sit together naturally. We’re super excited about this stock up!
