I’ve recently been loving the opportunity to respond to Dadda Duck’s question of “Is that new?” with “No, not new…” 😂

Because these days, most of my wardrobe is either preloved or has come from the shop.

The funny thing is, most of us aren’t actually shopping because we need more stuff.

We’re shopping because we’re tired.
Because we’re overwhelmed.
Because we’re trying to solve a problem.
Because we want to feel organised, prepared, or just a little bit like ourselves again.

And honestly? No judgement here 🤍

But if we’re going to shop, I love knowing that choosing preloved means supporting another family, keeping beautiful pieces in circulation, and being a little kinder to the planet in the process.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY | PART 2 🤍

If you’ve followed Little Duck for a while, you’ll know we’re passionate about preloved first.

But sometimes preloved isn’t available, and that’s where thoughtful purchasing comes in.

Today I’m shining a light on a few small Australian businesses creating beautiful pieces designed to be loved, worn, and eventually passed on.

✨ — created by fellow twin mum aka , i was so excited when these came out - it didn’t matter they weren’t in our current sizes , I am happy to hold onto them !

Taking a moment to reflect on where we’ve come from 🤍

It’s been a wild 18 months, to say the least.

Part of me feels like it’s been much longer — so many hours, so much learning, so many risks, and so much heart poured into this little space. We started when my first little duck was just 10 months old. Now he’s over 2.5, and somehow there are two more little ducks in the mix 🐥🐥🐥

The sacrifices, the energy, the late nights, the village it has taken to build this community… it’s been bigger than I ever imagined.

Because Little Duck has never really just been about clothes.

It’s about the families behind them.
The stories attached to them.
The conversations across the counter.
The friendships formed.
The community we’ve built together.

To the familiar faces who’ve walked alongside us, supported us, rented with us, shopped with us and cheered us on — you’ll always hold a special place in my heart. I’m the lucky one who gets to call so many of you part of the Little Duck family 🤍

And to the new faces just discovering us, welcome. How lucky are we that this community continues to grow, evolve and make room for more families along the way ✨
