Our special production plush bunny can be found hopping about the National Museum store in Stockholm!

"Did you know? ..." 😁

Did you know that the Teddy Bear was invented in honor of president Theodore Roosevelt?🐻 It all began when Theodore Roosevelt was on a bear hunting trip near Onward, Mississippi on November 14, 1902. He had been invited by Mississippi Governor Andrew H. Longino, and unlike other hunters in the group, had not located a single bear.
Roosevelt's assistants, a slave and former Confederate cavalryman, cornered and tied a black bear to a willow tree. They suggested that Roosevelt should shoot the bear but Roosevelt refused.The story spread very quickly. However, it was not just any president, it was Theodore Roosevelt the big game hunter!
Later, it was Morris Michton who had an idea to put in his shop window two stuffed toy bears his wife had made. Michtom asked permission from President Roosevelt to call these toy bears "Teddy's bears". The rapid popularity of these bears led Michtom to mass-produce them, eventually forming the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company.👏🐻

Pregnancy is a wonderful time of expectations! 💕 A lot of preparations, cute baby clothes, the choice of name and of course some sweet plush toys. Here on the photo Theodore - My First Teddy. Isn´t he cute? 😍 In a couple of weeks he will have a baby boy friend!
