Responsiveness means responding to the environment that it is in, namely within the current climate of ‘fast fashion’ - where current trends are changing almost weekly putting pressure on for mass production, promoting pollution and unethical labour. The response that G-Gee's has to this is to challenge this by promoting alternatives that are socially and environmentally sustainable. Time to focus on bringing about what I want to happen for 2026 💥

Anyone who struggles with anxiety knows how much energy is spent worrying about and preparing for the worse, and it's time, for me, to flip that and spend that energy thinking about and preparing for the best 👌

I picked this print up at the epic market in Dec from a lovely stallholder (I've forgotten the name of so if you know, please share!) and it has been hanging in my studio ever since, challenging me with its subtle mindset shift 👀

A Thousand Cuts has 1023 cuts of fabric, took 30 hours to make and was made from 10 pieces of waste clothing (thrown out by an op shop/thrift store) 🪡

It is showing at "Transpose"; a waste salvaging show by until October 31st ❤️‍🔥

My friend is running for the local elections in Lower Hutt (NZ) and instead of using single-use conflute signs to advertise, that would just end up in landfill at the end, she has screenprinted onto upcycled fabrics, so f**ken cool, unique and communicates her values!! VOTE Karen 'Kaz' Yung - Hutt City Council

Super cute - when a friend messages to let me know that their eleven year old walked into the kitchen, as they were in the process of voting and yells “Make sure you’re voting for Kaz” 🥰

(When even kids know where it's at!
Afterall not just our future leaders, but also insightful, present leaders too! 😉)

Also love hearing of all the grandparents, parents, aunties and uncles engaging the tamariki and rangatahi in their lives about voting and being active citizens - amazing 👏🏼
