As NAIDOC Week comes to an end, it's important that as a community we all practice 'Yindyamarra' 🖤💛❤️

Rooted in Wiradjuri culture and bursting with purpose, our Yindyamarra Tee is a philosophy. Yindyamarra means to show respect, be gentle, act with honour, and move through life with care and responsibility. It’s a reminder to slow down, lead with kindness, and honour the strength of our culture and community.

Created in collaboration between Haus of Dizzy and Haus of Ziggy Lee, this tee celebrates First Nations pride, intergenerational wisdom, and the legacy we’re building for the next generation✊🏽

As we reach the end of NAIDOC Week, we pose this question to allies: How will your allyship show up beyond NAIDOC Week?

Allyship is not confined to one action, and must be ongoing and informed. Are you supporting Blak businesses in September? Are you uplifting Blak authors, artists, activists, and educators in November? ✊🏽

NAIDOC Week may come to an end, but the responsibility to listen, learn, advocate, and take action does not. True allyship means showing up consistently, creating space for First Nations voices, and using your influence to support self-determination and meaningful change all year round🖤💛❤️

The question isn't what you did this week, it's what you'll do next.

Today is Aboriginal Flag Day 🖤💛❤️

First flown on 12 July 1971, the Aboriginal Flag has become one of the most powerful symbols of Aboriginal identity, resilience, pride, and sovereignty. Designed by Luritja artist, Harold Thomas, it has united generations of our people in moments of celebration, resistance, and strength.

This day is also an opportunity to recognise the incredible work of and everyone behind the campaign. Their advocacy helped pave the way for the Aboriginal Flag to be 'freed' for public use in 2022, ensuring this powerful symbol can be proudly flown and shared by all.

Today, and every day, we honour the history behind the flag, the people who fought to protect it, and the generations who continue to carry it forward.

The annual market hosted by is part of the vibrant community-led festival - NAIDOC in the City, featuring a free concert, 🪡 free workshops 🍴 food 🖌️and family-friendly activities for all ages🫶🏽

This year’s NAIDOC theme is '50 Years of Deadly', celebrating five decades of NAIDOC Week as a community-led movement – honouring Elders, leaders, artists and communities who have shaped its history, while building momentum for a strong, resilient future.✊🏽
