That's a wrap colour lovers 💚🩷🧡💛! The online shop is now closed and I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who has been here for the ride! It's been the best few years in business and I will miss so many things about running my colourful store.

Hey everyone! Long time no speak. We have a huge announcement and I am feeling sad writing this 😢

As many of you know, I've gone back to full time teaching this year after a really rough 18 months in business. Running a business is bloody hard work and I feel like I tried everything! If I could compete with $5 outfits from companies that shall not be named, then I would. But that's not how we roll around here.

So for now, it's time to say goodbye to Colour Pop Designs in its current form. I will be closing the online store and don't have any intention on re-opening anytime soon. I just don't have the energy anymore to hustle!

It doesn't feel right to completely close down. So I've decided to say goodbye...for now. I really love what I do, and would love to do something different. But for now, I don't know what that is. I'm really enjoying teaching full time and have a new found love of my profession.

Thank you so much to each and every person who supported me from the beginning. I appreciate every single person who purchased, commented, shared and spread the love of our business.

I have no idea what next for Colour Pop Designs. All I know is I have lost my mojo to keep slogging it out in my literal sweat shop. Hi 👋🏻 It’s been a hot minute since I’ve popped in to say hello to everyone.

I went to make a recap reel of what I’ve been up to and have approximately 5 photos from the past couple of months 🤣 So here’s a few things I’ve been up to

🎶I’ve been to 3 musicals this year so far and loved them all - Grease, Sister Act and Come From Away

🏃‍♀️💪🏻I’ve been working on my mental health through lots of physical activity. I’m feeling so great

🤓 I’m teaching full time - year 2 and year 6 this year. I’m doing 2 shared roles and loving it.

😌 I’ve been listening to my body and resting when I need.

🧵I haven’t really done much sewing at all but have made myself a few fun wide leg culottes!

I think I had really hit burnout at the end of last year. I didn’t realise how stressed and tired I was feeling after a really tough year or so in business. To be honest, I haven’t missed running the biz at all. I have missed sharing my day to day with you all and chatting with my Insta community but otherwise it’s been such a great break.

I still don’t have any plans to reopen the online shop just yet. But you can buy some really fun and colourful pieces directly in store from in Brisbane.

Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄🥂🍤🏖️

Just in case I forget to post tomorrow (or get too busy chatting), I want to wish you all a fabulous Christmas Day if you’re celebrating!

Christmas Day is my favourite. 🎅🤶 I love the chaos of wrapping paper flying everywhere as the kids tear into their pressies, the sibling banter that takes me right back to childhood (even when my brother and sister gang up on me!), and the laughter and chatter in the backyard.

Tomorrow, I’ll be soaking up family time—laughing, eating, drinking, swimming, and making memories while watching the magic of the day unfold. I can’t wait!

Wishing you all a day filled with love, joy, and maybe a little Christmas craziness. ❤️🎄
