I love making this blanket. I have made it at least 10 times, for both boys and girls (I usually just change the border). It one of those “I can do this with my eyes shut”, but it has a luxurious feel and look to it. I have never used this particular colour before, and I LOVE it! It’s so pretty and nothing says spring, like a lovely lilac. Well done to for having this in their cotton range, colour palette.

Another awesome challenge completed in about 2 months. I was asked for about a year to make this, and I was a little hesitant (was dreading all the ends).
It was no where near as painful as I thought. The greatest thing I found, was doing all pieces at the same time. For example Round 1 of all 16 hexagons, round 2x 16 hexagons, round 3 etc. it halved my time, as I knew exactly what I was doing. Another timesaver, was tucking ends away after each round, and not leaving them to the last minute.

Have begun another blanket by Janie Crow, The Persian Tiles Throw. I love a well written pattern. This one could use a few additional photos, but there is an entire FB page dedicated to this very pattern.
My friend has requested the same colours used in the blanket, and I must say, I actually quite like how they go together. This is going to be another large project, but I never shy away from a challenge!
