I spent 15 years dressing for the industry. Here’s what I quietly stopped wearing once I left.

Polyester pants. Season after season. The moment I switched to cotton coordinates I realised I’d just been uncomfortable. Always.
Body con dresses. The industry had a very clear idea of what “flattering” looked like. I now wear dresses that work with my body, not against it.
Uncomfortable footwear. Sneakers everywhere because at least they didn’t hurt. Once I started prioritising comfort head to toe I realised it was never about the shoes. It was about finally dressing for myself.

Comfort doesn’t mean you stop caring how you dress. It means you stop dressing for everyone else.
