From Best Friends to Business

Have you ever met a person who you know you are going to do crazy great things with??

Well, that’s pretty much how our story starts...

In 2014 we both landed in Mission Beach looking to settle down, buy homes and invest into the community with our partners. Then 5 years later we ended up working next door to each other, Rosie as the local Bank Manager and me as the Retail Manager of our family Pharmacy. We didn’t realise at the time where our journey would take us but straight away we were great friends; lunches, local events and hanging out in the paradise we call home gave us lots of opportunities to talk about our own personal goals, what we wanted from life and most importantly the things that bring us ‘joy’. It turns out that coming from very different backgrounds we had very similar ideas for where we wanted our futures to take us, so when we noticed the empty space in the shopping complex and lack of variety in town for people like us we came up with some BIG ideas.

Having worked as a project manager for many years in the UK and Australia, I had a pretty good grasp on how to plan, in fact planning is probably one of my favourite things to do. I love a challenge and find great pleasure in crunching numbers until they work, then taking crazy ‘blue sky’ ideas and adding them to the numbers until you have something you can be proud of and work with from there.
