DRONES IN AGRICULTURE TRAINING & FARM MAPPING & DATA COLLECTION

๐Ÿ“COONABARABRAN | BATHURST | MOLONG | BROKEN HILL | COLEAMBALLY | WAGGA WAGGA | BOOROWA

๐Ÿš Farming is taking to the skies ๐Ÿš

Drone technology is transforming agriculture, helping farmers with crop monitoring, farm mapping, livestock management and the collection of valuable farm data.

Using high-resolution aerial imagery, drones can assist with monitoring irrigation, assessing crop performance, checking fences, locating livestock and inspecting hard-to-reach areas across large properties.

Drone technology can help farmers improve decision-making, increase efficiency and support more productive and sustainable farming practices.

Danielle Tuckwell, one of our rural financial counsellors, went along to the Growing Success: Farm Business Planning Essentials workshop in Dubbo to see firsthand what it offers and how it could help clients working through their own business planning.

Her big takeaway: most farmers already have a business plan - it's just living in their head, not on paper. Writing it down means everyone in the business, partners and family included, is clear on the direction things are heading.

The workshop was delivered by Ben and Brooke Watts of Bralca and attendees took home the DPIRD Ag Guide. Couldn't make it to Dubbo? The course runs online 7โ€“21 October with more courses like it here: https://events.humanitix.com/host/nswfbrp

Starting a plan from scratch or updating one for succession? Rural financial counsellors can help farm businesses work through business planning - free, confidential and independent. ๐Ÿ‘‰ rfcsnsw.org.au | 1800 319 458

Weโ€™re thrilled to share that Bralca 2.0 Pty Ltd has been named a finalist in three categories at the 2026 Business Orange Awards! ๐ŸŽ‰

โญ Excellence in Manufacturing, Trade & Industry โ€“ Bralca 2.0 Pty Ltd
โญ Outstanding Young Business Leader โ€“ Brooke Watts
โญ Outstanding Employee โ€“ Brooke Watts

As a family-owned regional business, weโ€™re incredibly proud to see both Bralca and our Operations Manager, Brooke, recognised amongst the finalists.

Bralca has grown significantly over the years, but our focus remains the same: supporting agriculture and regional communities through practical training, innovation, technology and industry collaboration.

Weโ€™re particularly proud to see Brooke recognised in two individual categories. Her contribution to Bralca extends across operations, business development, project management, partnerships and the continued growth and direction of the business.

Being recognised in the Excellence in Manufacturing, Trade & Industry category is also a wonderful acknowledgement of the work of our broader team and the diverse projects we have the opportunity to deliver across NSW and beyond.

Thank you to our clients, partners, participants and communities who continue to work with and support Bralca. Recognition like this is only possible because of the people and organisations we get to work alongside.

Weโ€™re looking forward to celebrating with the Orange business community at the 2026 Business Orange Awards! ๐Ÿฅ‚
