✨ My First Blouse Ever – Handmade ✨

Every expert was once a beginner, and I’m proud to share a special milestone in my sewing journey. ❤️

From a simple piece of fabric to drafting, cutting, stitching, pressing, and finally completing my very first blouse—every step taught me something new.

There were moments of trial and error, but seeing the finished blouse made every stitch worthwhile. 🧵✂️

This experience has given me even more confidence to continue learning and growing my sewing and alteration skills.

✨ Throwback to a special project from last year! ✨

One of my favourite learning experiences was being given the opportunity to work with PUL (Polyurethane Laminate) fabric to create a child mock-up.

At the time, I had never sewn with PUL fabric before, so it was a completely new challenge. I spent hours watching YouTube tutorials, researching techniques for slippery and waterproof fabrics, and learning how to achieve the best results with this unique material.

Looking back, this project pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me grow both my sewing skills and confidence. Every new fabric teaches something different, and this experience reminded me that learning never stops.

A heartfelt thank you to Jess from The Colour Club Studios for trusting me with this project and giving me the opportunity to learn something new. Jess’s passion for creativity, exploration, and helping children build confidence through making and creating is truly inspiring.

I’m also grateful to Reach Her Inc., where we connected through their wonderful business workshops that support and empower women in business.

✨ Throwback to a beautiful moment from November 2024 ✨

During an Indian Cultural Dinner with Reach Her Inc, I had the joy of draping a saree for Nina — someone who has become a meaningful part of my journey.

Through this space, I’ve come to know Nina as a strong voice in mindful parenting. Her calm, patient, and grounded approach with children has truly inspired me and shaped the way I see and support kids.

What started as a simple saree draping moment became something more — a connection, a friendship, and a shared experience of culture.

Grateful for these moments that stay with us beyond time 💚
