The strength of a Viking wasn't just in the raid, but in the ritual of maintenance. At the village forge, master blacksmiths used advanced metallurgy to ensure high-status weapons remained tough and flexible through constant refinement.

From oiling legendary Ulfberht blades to prevent corrosion, to boiling leather armor in wax for rigid protection, every piece of gear was treated with precision. This dedication extended to the seas, where longships were preserved with tar and their intricate dragonhead carvings were meticulously maintained to guard against the elements and enemies alike.
