This is by no means an easy one to write.
EEBS started as a couple of ideas for logos and drawings for shirt designs. Even with my dreams and aspirations for the brand I don’t think i could have ever predicted how it would feel seeing people rep EEBS in my home town, being a part of some kick ass colabs and getting orders from complete strangers across the country. That sort of thing really sticks with you.
Running a brand is one of the most exciting, yet challenging things I’ve ever done as an individual. There were nights I’d stay up late packing orders, amazed at how many people showed their support for a new collection. Along with that came plenty of questioning myself and if I still had the drive that got this whole thing started in the first place. After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided its time for me to step away from EEBS for now. I’ve given it a real go, learnt a lot and created some dope pieces that I’ll always be proud of.
I want to say thank you to each and every one of you over the years that have helped me and shown support by wearing EEBS like its armour, sharing a post or just telling me that they liked what i was doing. That support is what kept me going longer than i would have otherwise.
The online store will be closing and this account will go real quiet. Maybe it’ll stay that way. Maybe the bee will buzz again. Who knows. For now, this is where it ends.
