What Is Actually In Your Toy and Why It Matters
Buying a toy without knowing what it is made from is a bit like ordering a steak without asking how it is cooked. Technically, you will get something. The experience could go either way.
Here is the version nobody put in the brochure.
Silicone is the gold standard.
Medical-grade, non-porous, body-safe, and available from firm to genuinely surprisingly soft.
Bacteria does not stand a chance.
Use water-based lubricant!
Silicone on silicone is not the love story it sounds like.
What about Glass, you ask?
Before you back away slowly, borosilicate glass is the same material used in laboratory equipment. Smooth, non-porous, it warms and cools for sensation play and is compatible with any lubricant.
One of the most body-safe options available. Give it a chance.
Stainless steel is heavy, smooth, completely non-porous, and built like it means business.
Works with any lubricant.
Not for the faint-hearted, absolutely for the curious.
ABS plastic is the reliable workhorse.
Hard, non-porous, body-safe, and easy to clean.
Found in most quality vi****or casings.
Gets the job done without drama.
What to avoid — jelly rubber, unlabelled PVC, anything called "realistic skin" with no further explanation.
Porous, impossible to properly sanitise, and potentially containing phthalates. If a product cannot tell you what it is made from, that is your answer.
At MIN###, every material is clearly labelled, and our friendly team can tell you exactly why something made our floor.
