She began to explore other career paths during her 50's, shortly after her daughter graduated from High School. While working as an Activity Professional in Long Term-Care she was fortunate to meet members of her future Mary Kay Unit as they joined forces to create a 'Spa Day' for the residents of her former place of employment.
