🍷I've been experimenting with GIFT BAGS FOR WINE! I think I'm onto something! They are an extension of my little beaded gift bags. (see last photo).

Available for sale at The Handmade Market in the Whale Mall of the South Bank Museum on Sat 29th August.

🍒 I'm back to what I love doing!!!

🍒 I'm really enjoying making overalls. I am often asked if I make anything for boys. These are Size 4, and while not especially masculine, I believe this pair could certainly accommodate a little guy!

🍒I combined a short length of blue linen, a patchwork panel and some narrow maroon twill tape....all courtesy of The Nest. (I visited with my lovely cousin Jenny last week!)

🍒 Also attached are some photos of gorgeous little Lily wearing her Special Occasion blue velveteen dress at the family Christening in Dalby!!

MY LATEST MAKES!!

Donna & Anna - love my Pfaff!

🔺 ️A very quirky commission for a Teacher Librarian friend Leanne and her Library Assistant Rhonda!

🔺️ Leanne is a newly retired Teacher Librarian who was invited back as a special guest to the Book Week parade at Holy Cross Catholic Primary School at Woolloowin. Rhonda is still working there.

🔺️These two ladies have appeared as colourful book characters many times before. This time they decided to come dressed as Bob & Dob, two birdy brothers from the 2025 publication of the same name.....one who gets into a lot of mischief and the other who likes to 'dob' on him. The book was authored and illustrated Sean E. Avery.

🔺️ I was fortunate to attend and enjoy the festivities today at Holy Cross and was quite surprised how convincing Leanne was as a mischievous bird! She has previously given no indication to me of her dramatic talents OR her naughtiness!

🔺️ We had a close call when her underwear began to show under her costume. After the show I checked and found that the drawstring in the hooped layer had come undone!
Luckily it just looked like the mischievous bird had not fastened his drawers!!

🦘I was recently asked to make a special apron, a birthday surprise for a lovely young lady. She hails from Columbia but is living here now and loves our native animals.

🦘I am reminded that aprons are much easier to make than a Little Miss Mabel Dress!

🦘Her name is Juliana and she has jumped through all the usual loops to gain citizenship!

🦘Hopefully it won't be long till she's a True Blue Aussie!

⚘️ LITTLE MISS MABEL NEWS! ⚘️

⚘️ I was delighted that these two little dresses, worn by little models who are sisters, were purchased at the Saturday Market by a young Mum, for her two little daughters.

⚘️The Mum was wearing a dress made from a vintage tablecloth and other vintage pieces.....a member of my tribe!!

⚘️ I picked up these special doilys in NZ in February, driving to Napier with my kiwi friends.
