Daffodil Day is today!!!

Today marks the 40th anniversary of Cancer Council’s Daffodil Day.

Today we honour & remember the cancer journeys of our loved ones, and ourselves.
These journeys are filled with strength, resilience, courage, compassion, tears and laughter.

Cancer touches all of us, in one way or another, and brings us together- but also the hope of new treatments, research and more positive outcomes.

Help us support the cancer council, and those affected by cancer buy purchasing fresh daffodils today. All proceeds will be donated to help some small way the amazing work that researchers do.

🤠 Fun Fact Friday: Barbed Wire Edition!

Did you know that barbed wire completely changed Australian farming?

Before barbed wire became widely available in the late 1800s, fencing huge paddocks was incredibly expensive and labour-intensive. Farmers relied on timber rails, stone walls or simply keeping a close eye on their stock.

Barbed wire made it possible to fence larger areas faster and more affordably, helping shape the cattle stations, sheep properties and family farms we know today. It's one of the simplest inventions that's had one of the biggest impacts on Australian agriculture.

From boundary fences to livestock yards, it's still proving its worth more than 140 years later.
