Remember when we asked if anyone knew a good carpet layer? 🐻😄

Stop looking — we found one.
Turns out he's been in the family the whole time. Meet Mal — Son, carpet layer extraordinaire and today's most important person in the Kingfisher Dance Shop story.

The carpet is going down and things are getting very real in here. Every roll, every cut, every metre is one step closer to opening day — and honestly we are so excited.

We are so grateful to have family around us as we build this dream. It means everything. ❤️🐻

After 32 years, today is the final day of Kingfisher School Gear.

We are open from 9am and we would love to see you. Come in, grab anything remaining at clearance prices, and let us say a proper thank you and goodbye in person.

To every family who has trusted us over the past 32 years — you have been the reason we showed up every single day. You have been the heart of this business. And you will always hold a very special place in ours.

Every great transformation starts somewhere. This is ours.

Bare walls that are about to become home to the most beautiful range of dancewear Orange has ever seen. A crazy mismatched floor that needs some love before it's walked by dancers of every age and every style. A space that is about to become something truly special.

We are rolling up our sleeves and getting to work — and we are going to bring you along for every single step of the journey.

An empty room. Bare walls. Concrete floors. And the biggest smile I think I've ever smiled.

This is where Kingfisher Dance Shop is going to live. Right here. And over the next few days we are going to transform this empty space into something Orange has never had before — a beautiful, dedicated dance shop where every dancer feels looked after, inspired and ready to shine.

I have dreamed about this moment for so long. Standing here today — it doesn't feel real yet. But it will.

Tomorrow is the last day. 🐻❤️
Tomorrow we close the school uniform chapter of Kingfisher for the very last time.

We have one final day to find good homes for our remaining stock — and we would love to see as many familiar faces as possible walk through the door one last time.
